Dear David & Krista,

Magic is a wonderful addition to our family!  She is now four months old and is a very smart and loving little girl.  She loves to go on her morning run with my husband Jason and has plenty of energy and speed to do so.  She is excellent with the kids and loves to snuggle with Cali when she is tired.  I am sure that the socialization that y  ...More

David and Krista,
This letter to you is long overdue. We have to tell you again how much we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our experience with you both. Not only was it evident that our new puppy was well-cared for but so were we. In addition to that is the fact that we brought home an exceptional puppy. We told you exactly what type personality we sought in our dog and that's what we got. Dibley is an extremely confident, curious and intelligent puppy. She is also very vocal. Having never owned a Corgi it was greatly appreciated that time was spent with us answering our many questions.
Our little girl has proven herself to be very smart, active and agile. She has completed her first training class and is starting her next after the holidays. We are planning on working in obedience and agility as she really likes to work (and play). She is a tough little girl, whose best friend (our 75 lb. German Shepherd) often has trouble keeping up with her.
I truly hope DNK is still breeding when it is time for our next dog. I'm sure it's going to be a Corgi and I'd love it to be from one of your breedings. Thank you for this absolutely wonderful dog that has become a very important member of our family.

Krista & David

My experience with DC has been exceptional. I have been able to communicate with you at all times. As a breeder you care very much about your puppies’ welfare and my vet was very impressed at your health records, how current & up to date, with all details. I love my puppy Jazz. He is a great addition to my life and is quite smart with a great disposition! It was a pleasure being one of your customers and I would buy another puppy.

Hi David and Krista

I took Farina to the vet yesterday and the vet's exact words were, "she is a prefect pup".  She gained a few ounces, she is now 6 1/2 pounds and is doing wonderfully.  The vet also said that she had to come from a really great and caring breeder if she came paper trained.  That for me was an added surprise.

Her step brother and sister are starting to get use to her.  She plays ball with Yogi like she is a big girl and has already learned how to go up the stairs all by herself, but cant get down them yet.  She is extremely smart, alert.

Well I'm going now, cant get enough of her and want to spend all my time with her.

Thanks again and talk to you soon.

Hi Krista and David,
I knew Guinevere was perfect from the moment I saw her.   Total strangers will go out of their way to come up to us to see her, play with her and pet her.  The daughter of our dog sitter is looking forward to us going out of town for a few days so she can come over and play with her.  And now our vet tells me he thinks she is probably the best corgi he has ever seen - health, features, stature and disposition.
Krista and David, please take a bow.  As breeders, you understand the importance of genetics.  As dog owners, you understand the importance of early family life socialization.   The combination has resulted in beautiful, healthy, well adjusted puppies.   I want to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.

Hi Krista and David,
Just got back from the vet with Guinevere.  She is a whopping 4 lb 2 oz (she was 3 lb 10 oz when she left your home on Sunday).  The vet said she is absolutely perfect ( I knew that) and told he how impressed he was with your records.  It seems no other breeder keeps track of weights like you do, as he feels this is one of the most important records of any animal.
She is so much fun.  She plays whenever her eyes are open. She loves to climb and jump.   She and Cian get along and play great.  They love tug of war.  Cian sleeps by her crate at night.  She has only had 3 potty accidents, 2 of which were my fault (I failed to read the signs).  Otherwise, she lets me know when she needs to go outside.  I'm a bit tired because she's like a newborn - she needs to go out every 4 hours.  I'm not complaining because this is all part of the training process.  As all dogs, she was not thrilled with her collar and leash at first, but she accepts it like a champ now and we all go for walks twice a day.  When she gets tired I carry her, and then she sees Cian running and she wants to chase him, so I let her down and the chase is on.  Most of the people in the neighborhood know her and have held and played with her.  She even loves he lab next door.  Mali and her younger sister (age 2) came by on Sunday to see her and Gwen was perfectly fine being handled by young children.  They both cried when they had to go because they didn't want to leave the baby puppy.
I will send pictures when I get to Happy Harry's to get them on disc.  I have only gone out for 1 to 2 hrs. twice so far.  When I do go out, she stays in her ex pen with her toys, water, dog bed and puppy pad.  I'm happy to report that the only place she "goes" is on the puppy pad.
I still feel that she was "sent" to me from heaven.  I feel more assured of that as each day goes by.  She is truely amazing and I have you both to thank for that.  I'll send pics when I get them on disc.  Again, thank you so much for the wonderful start in her life.

I can tell you that our search for a Corgi puppy was not a spur of
the moment event. In fact, our search took us almost 3 years before
we finally found Gunnar from your kennels.

We met and corresponded with many fine breeders, organizations, and
others knowledge about the breed. I think then that I can relate why
we were so impressed with you and your kennel.

1. Breeding counts.
While we were not looking for a dog for showing, we still wanted a
dog that strictly conformed to the breed standards. The quality of
your breeding program is evident in your litters. Over the past
several years I have had the opportunity to look at many litters, and
I can tell you that I would rate your puppies up with the best we
examined, and far superior to many we saw. Our Vet, who has a lot of
experience with corgis, seconded this opinion stating that Gunnar was
one of the best examples of the breed he had seen.

2. Personality and Socialization counts.
A major factor in developing a great dog is how they are handled in
their first 10 to 12 weeks. This is where I think you really excel.
Your puppies are raised in a caring environment and their
socialization was far superior to all we saw. They were all alert,
outgoing, and welcoming. I believe the close association the puppies
have with your children is just great.

3. The Breeder Counts.
The quality of a breeder can be measured in the quality of their
dogs, but that is only half the measure. What counts just as much is
the breeder's relationship with the dogs. After all, these are living
creatures that need nurturing to develop to their full potential.
We found you not only knowledgeable about the breed, but also caring.
It was a series of things that cemented our view of you as a quality
breeder such as your complete record keeping, putting yourself as the
third contact on the microchip call list, and especially the little
things like providing a blanket with the scent of the mother and
litter mates to ease the transition from your home to ours that made
you standout. Besides, it not every breeder who can deliver a puppy
that is paper trained, crate trained, and bite trained at 10 weeks
old!

DNK Delaware Kennel was more than what we ever expected!  Krista and David, we want to thank you for everything!  We were very impressed with the care of all the corgi's!  From their exercise area to the birthing area was spotless.  That, in itself told us a lot about the care you take in the puppies.  Ginger and Lacey are doing very well!  Last weekend (at 9 weeks old), was extremely busy for them both.  Saturday was their 1st visit to the vet - who was very pleased with your record keeping and the health of the puppies.  Sunday they began "puppy training" and even had a visit with "Santa Paws"!!!  When we came home, they romped around in the snow.

Tony and I want to thank you both for taking such good care of the puppies (and the "Mom's and Dad's)!  We would highly recommend DNK's Delaware Corgi's to our friends and family!

We know it's a long time coming, but we wanted to let you know that Peyton is doing wonderfully in his new home! He's extremely energetic and loves to play every minute of every day. He's grown into an extremely handsome puppy, and he gets compliments wherever he goes! He's only had a few accidents on the floor, but is improving ever day! Erin and I just wanted to thank you guys for everything that you did with him and for all of the help you provided us as first time puppy owners! We appreciate everything that you said and did to help!

Hi David & Krista!  I have been distracted by family obligations away from home, so I apologize for not getting back to you.

Penny is a delight.  She was quiet on the 4 hour ride home to New Jersey and the first night in the crate.  She barked at 4am the second night, went outside to relieve herself, and went back to bed.  In two months of having her, she has only barked in the middle of the night four times!  We have been thrilled to sleep through the night ever since bringing her home, even if she does wet in the crate occasionally.  She is always ready to play but can also amuse herself.  Penny is quickly learning to not bark when we tell her no bark and even responds to different visitors appropriately - some want to play and some don't want to even talk to her, and she has become more responsive to how they react.  She seems very intelligent.  As to her coat - it is red and wavy, her ears are outlined in black, she has faint triangles of black around her eyes, and she has a bit of black hair at her rump.  I don't have a digital camera so I will mail you a couple of pictures and see if one of my friends can take a couple of pictures to email to you.  She was 10 pounds 2 ounces at her appointment last week -  didn't you keep her sibling?  How much does he/she weigh?  She has finished all of her shots and will get spayed in July.  We are very happy - since the last time I had a puppy I was not the adult responsible, I was a little nervous about training and needs, and Penny is a very easy puppy to live with.  She fits into our family perfectly.  Thank you!

Hi David. Oh my gosh. You would tkink she was born at our house. She is doing beautifully. She goes on the newspapers (only a few times has she forgotten). She eats like it's her last meal. Plays  the whole time she is awake and sleeps just fine. My Yogi and Rubie are still getting use to her and her high energy. But we are so so so happy with her and are in love with her. I hate having to come to work and leave her at home alone (without me).

She is scheduled to go to the vet Friday and I did get the vet certificate when I got her AKC registered for a free visit. Thanks for that.

Again thanks again for a lovely experience in my wanting to get a corgi puppy and a most beautiful doggie.

Ed and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for our wonderful new puppy and let you know how he's doing.  He had a great trip home and didn't get any car sickness.  He came in the front door and make himself right at home.  He's been eating great and is adjusting well.  We had lots of company on Thanksgiving and Bailey was not the least bit timid.  I know that you and the girls had much to do with that and we thank you.  He is going to the vet on Friday.  I'm sure all will be well.

Hi David and Krista,

Marmalade has been doing terrifically!  The vet said she was absolutely perfect.  She's now learning how to walk on her leash and some basic commands.  She's so smart and alert, it's so much fun to play with her.  She's a big crowd pleaser!  Everyone loves her right away.  She's also so good with kids!  When she sees children, she's so sweet and gentle with them.  The funniest part is how quickly she goes from being in full blown play mode to passed out in my lap.

It is obvious she a good deal of care and attention by you and your family.
I could not ask for a better experience or a more perfect little puppy!

Hi Krista, I just wanted to let you know how well your little girl is doing here. So far it has been a very interesting few days. She is getting into a nice schedule and is really fitting in very well. As soon as I get some pictures downloaded I'll send them your way. We keep forgetting how young she is as she has quite a little personality already. She's already made friends with our german shepherd and they play until we make my boy take a break. We couldn't be happier and want to thank you for such a wonderful addition to our family. You're right about her, it's either all steam ahead or flat on her back. We crate train and she has taken to it. Did I mention she has slept through every night? Anyhoo, we thank you and David. You both did a nice job and we wish you the best.

Hi Krista, David and Family:

I just wanted to give you an update on how Gunnar is doing.

He shows no sign of any car sickness, and actually enjoys riding in
his little transport carrier in the car. Your start at crate training
was great, and he goes into his crates at the office, at home, and in
the car without protest. He doesn't really protest when left in
either. I think he has figured out that we will be back in a short
time to let him out. We are already in a routine where he sleeps in
his crate in the office while the staff have their lunch in the next
room, and he doesn't make a peep until lunch is over.

I took him to the Vet on Tuesday. I have to add what so many others
have said before, "The Vet was very impressed by your record
keeping." Really, he was quite impressed. The physical went great and
he told us that we had done really well in picking Gunnar. He even
brought in the rest of the staff to look at Gunnar and stated that
they probably would not see a better corgi puppy. They were all
impressed by his personality.

He is around people all the time except late at night, and is getting
plenty of exercise and attention. It is amazing just how smart he is.

I just wanted you to know that he is being taken good care of, and we
love him.

Thanks for all your hard work. Please use us as a reference anytime.

Dave and Krista,
Molly is doing great! She is such a great dog around our children and certainly gained this behavior from be acclimated by you and your children.  The time you spent answering questions we had prepared us for the arrival of her.  She was easily put onto a leash at 10 weeks for short walks but now a 4 months she will go wherever we want.
Thanks again for a great experience!!!

I will send some pictures soon.

Dear Krista & David,

We just love her!  She is perfect!   I took her to the vet yesterday and the Dr. said she was a fine healthy little puppy.  The Dr. also told me that she had never seen such fine records for a puppy and was very impressed.   I will take her again in two weeks.  My husband, Jason has already bonded and Cali just adores her.  Cruse, my one year old boy just has a confused look on his face when he see's her and is not sure what to think yet.  It's funny.  Cali did rename her however.  Only a name a child could come up with.

So we are calling her "Magic".  We have a very close friend named Maggie so it would have been a little awkward.  Ironically our friend, Maggie's son is named Finn. (like her brother)

Thank you again and I will keep you posted on her progress.

Krista & David,

Just wanted to let you know that Theo is setteling in great!  He did so well on the car ride home, just slept and played and cuddled the whole way.  We stopped at an Amish farm stand to go potty and he got to visit some cows...he really liked that :)  Once we got home he settled right in and even started herding my son Carter around, it was really cute.  Carter calls him "BeeO" but the baby seems to have Theo down.  He is sleeping great at night (in our bed) too.  The first night he was up 3 times and went right out to go potty, then last night he only woke up once to go out.  I want to thank you for the wonderful job you did with him.  He is such a sweet, well socialized pup and is a wonderful addition to our family.  We all just love him to bits!  Here are a few pics of the ride home and his first days here, I will be sure to keep you updated on how he is doing.

P.S.- Thank you for the food samples for Lola, she is actually eating it so I am going to swich her over to the Eukanuba.

Dear Krista and Dave,

We have had Scooby for a little over two weeks now, and we couldn't be happier our choice of dog and our choice of breeder.  Our vet said that Scooby is a handsome, healthy dog.  His health records were impeccable and the vet could tell that he was well cared for.  The manners and socialization that Scobby got from you and your family has made him a lovable, friendly puppy. Everyone that meets him tells us about his beautiful markings.  Thank you for answering all of our questions and calming our fears about puppy care.  This was our first experience with Corgi's and I know it wont be our last.  We hope that you are still breeding when we are ready for our next Corgi!

I just purchased my corgi from Krista (dnk's delaware corgi) and couldn't be happier. My experience with Krista and her family couldn't have been better. The puppies were so well cared for and happy that I didn't have one problem with the transition from her house to mine. Her record keeping from birth to the time of sale is immaculate!. My vet was very impressed. My puppy-Olly-is a bundle of energy, happiness and joy to my family. Everything you would expect from a well bred Corgi.
